Analysis of a photo

Hey Ruth! I love that your picture is so different from everyone elses. It has an uber halloweeny, creepy feel. The fact that you made it black and white makes a big contrast between the white flame and the dark background. This contrast creates a frightening feel within the viewer. The slight high angle makes one feel that they are there standing over the fire. The close distance shows only darkness as the background, while the only subject is the fire.
The story I picture here would be sitting around this bonfire with my friends on Halloween. We would all be having fun, but we would all start to feel kind of scared. Good photo!

This is a great picture! Ihis perfect for this time of year! The angle also makes it interesting. It is not exactly a high angle, yet it is not exactly a low angle either. It allows you to see the main subject and just enough darkness so a viewer has to speculate what may be lurking in the shadows. THe closeness of the object makes it even more detailed and spooky. This seems like when my dad lights a bonfire in our moveable pit on Holloween for all the trick-or-treat parents. Great photography!

This is the picture you took at Robert's with your cell phone, is it not? I like it :)

So... A firepit, with a fire, late at night. Even though it's mostly dark, the scene is welcoming. It may have to do something with how bright the fire is, it just looks naturally inviting. Also, the little shapes in the metal give the picture a cheery feel. The high angle looking down at the fire makes me feel like I just arrived at the scene and am about to sit on the ground and warm myself next to the fire. The medium distance lets us get a good view of both the fire and the background, so the fire isn't too big and overwhelming, but also so we know that the fire is much more desireable than the dark unknown.

I love this picture! I like how there is a high angle so I could picture myself standing over the fire looking down at it. I also like how everything else is dark so the fire is the only thing you can see and focus on. Because of the close-up you can also see how the fire whisps around. Nice picture!!

Really cool picture! It's a fire pit with a fire burning in it. It feels a little creepy but cool at the same time. It looks like a high angle. This gives us more perspective, because we couldn't see much of the fire if it was a straight or low angle. I'd say it is a medium shot, even though you can't see the background because everything else is black. It helps us to know what the subject is when you can see the whole thing. The lighting in this is really cool. Our eyes immediatly jump to the flames, and the little bits of light that shine between the moons and stars. It makes the picture seem kind of eerie. The black makes me think that it's night, so maybe a bunch of people are sitting around the fire, talking or singing. It looks more mysterious rather than fun because it's dark and there are no marshmallows or hot dogs or people laughing. nice photo!
